HOT FINISHED AND NORMALIZED SECTIONS
Hot-finished welded hollow sections combine some of the best characteristics of both cold formed and seamless tubes in a unique way. Our hollow sections are made of steel strip, which is roll formed to a circular shape and then continuously seam welded.
Hot finished (hot formed) hollow sections are widely used for structural and mechanical applications. It is also a lot easier to bend than cold formed hollow sections. Commonly used for curved frames.
Hot finished hollow sections offer numerous advantages compared to other materials. Reliably strong, they offer a best-in-class sectional properties and buckling resistance. They are easy to use, with unrestricted
weldability, even in the corner zones of the square and rectangular sections. Along with their uniform hardness profile and low residual stresses they provide safe and reliable conditions for manufacturing processes. Beyond construction, our range of hot formed and heat treated hollow sections are suited for a wide range of applications including mechanical engineering applications, agricultural equipment, construction machinery, naval and offshore structures, cranes and belt conveyers, etc.
