HOLLOW SECTIONS
Also known as Box Section. are usually specified as width x height in mm. For a rectangular hollow section these will be different dimensions; for a square hollow section they will be the same. A third parameter is also specified: the thickness of the steel.
Steel hollow sections are the most versatile and efficient form for construction and mechanical applications. Some of the strongest and most impressive structures today would not have been possible without hollow sections.
