The countdown has begun for the 'GYODER Sign Of The City Awards' (SotCA), the competition that the real estate industry has been eagerly waiting for. The application period was extended due to the earthquake disaster in the competition, which will be held under the leadership of Hürriyet and in cooperation with the Real Estate Investors Association (GYODER) in order to bring the construction and real estate industry to international norms and to encourage the industry to the best. Applications will be received through the website of 'www.signofthecity.com' until July 21 for the projects that are candidates to become the stars of the city. Adding prestige to institutions, organizations and individuals, the SotCA awards will find their owners in a ceremony to be held in November.

NEW REGULATION AFTER EARTHQUAKE

After the earthquake disaster that occurred on February 6 and affected 11 provinces, a new decision was taken for the competition application criteria. As a result of the evaluations made by the members of the jury, it was deemed appropriate to obtain a commitment letter from the applied projects. In this way, the investors and authors of the project stated that there are no restrictions on our professional activity rights within the scope of the Law No. 6235 on the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects, the Zoning Law No. 3194 and the relevant legislation, It will undertake that it fully implements all relevant legislative provisions such as

SELECTION PROCESS 3 STAGES

Projects completed or under construction between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2022 can be nominated for the GYODER Sign Of The City Awards. Evaluations and selection process will be completed in 3 stages. After the application is completed, EY will evaluate the completeness of the applications and their compliance with the category criteria and technical screening will be carried out. Among the projects that pass the technical screening, a 1st stage evaluation will be made by jury members who are experts in their fields, and 5 candidates from each category will be determined.

The final 5 projects will be submitted to the evaluation of all jury members. Each project; will prepare a 3-minute presentation that will answer the questions to be determined by the jury. At the end of the presentation, the project representative will have the opportunity to explain the project to the jury face to face with a 5-minute meeting. As a result of the evaluation, one project from each category will be awarded the Sign of the City.
